The Accelerator Network’s own, Ian Merricks, had an amazing opportunity to travel to Saudi Arabia on January 27-28th for the 7th Annual Saudi Technology Incubation Conference to promote, raise awareness and further the understanding of business incubation, entrepreneurship and innovation. Ian spoke with the session chair Eng. Rakan Al Eidi, who is the Managing Director of Endeavor Saudi Arabia. The session was focusing on “Supporting Technology Ventures Go Global.”
The purpose of this conference was to provide a forum to enable government, financial institutions, universities, research institutions, the private sector and chambers of commerce to share experiences and best practices in business incubation acceleration and entrepreneurship programs as a strategy in the development of knowledge – based economy. It was also to help enable international, regional and local experts to present and discuss the challenges and opportunities in the development of business incubation, acceleration and entrepreneurship.
